Foreign Ministers of the UAE and the Republic of Serbia Hold a Telephone Conversation

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, held a telephone conversation with H.E. Marko Djurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

Sheikh Abdullah confirmed the safety of all residents and visitors in the UAE. The discussion also addressed the serious consequences of the current escalation for regional security and stability, as well as possible direct threats to international peace and security, but also potential impacts on the stability of the global economy and the security of energy supplies.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah strongly condemned and expressed firm denunciation of the open Iranian attacks on the UAE and brotherly and friendly countries, emphasizing the right of the targeted states to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty, preserve their security and territorial integrity, and ensure the safety of their citizens and residents on their territory.

The ministers also stressed the importance of unifying regional and international efforts to contain the escalation and prevent its further spread, emphasizing the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomatic solutions, as well as to work jointly on strengthening the foundations of sustainable security and stability and achieving the comprehensive development to which the peoples of the region aspire.
