His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser of the United Arab Emirates, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan and, during his visit, met with His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the existing relations of friendship and strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Azerbaijan were discussed, as well as ways to further strengthen these relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, several agreements and memoranda of understanding were also signed and exchanged between a number of entities from both sides, with a view to expanding cooperation and identifying new areas for joint investment between the two friendly countries.
The meeting and the signing ceremony were attended by His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Mohammed Murad Al Blooshi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as a number of senior officials and representatives of relevant institutions from both sides.
