The two nations have committed to deepening cooperation across strategic sectors, including renewable energy, artificial intelligence, education, healthcare, aviation, and defence.
As part of the outcomes, several UAE companies are expected to visit Ghana in the coming weeks to explore and initiate investment opportunities in these areas.
Notably, the discussions laid the foundation for a potential labour export agreement aimed at creating job placements in the UAE for Ghanaian youth.
These opportunities are expected to be formally announced upon the conclusion of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
The agreements emerged from a two-day official visit to the UAE by a Ghanaian delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a formal agreement to establish the first-ever high-level political consultations between Ghana and the UAE.
These consultations are expected to serve as a strategic platform for advancing mutual interests and enhancing diplomatic relations.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with senior Emirati officials, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs. They also met with ministers responsible for foreign trade and investment, as well as key figures from the Emirati business community.
Both governments have hailed the visit as a milestone in strengthening bilateral ties and accelerating economic collaboration.
