the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Tokyo organized a Webinar on Artificial Intelligence entitled "Japanese Society 5.0, Education and Artificial Intelligence Research in the UAE and Japan" in cooperation with Dr.Lorenz Granrath, Supervisory Innovation Coordinator, and Dr. Ken Fukuda, Team Leader of the Data Knowledge Integration Research Team in AIRC, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). At the outset of the webinar, Mr. Ammar AlSamahi, Head of the Media Affairs and Public Diplomacy section, stressed that the UAE is at the forefront of countries that considered artificial intelligence as an economic opportunity and that the UAE ranks nineteenth in the world in the Government Readiness Index for Artificial Intelligence, and ranks first at the level of the Region.
The guests indicated that Japan seeks to revitalize its society and the economy and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals SDG set by the UN by establishing the Society 5.0, which aims to address social issues and develop the economy using artificial intelligence.
