The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Nicosia held a reception to mark the 48th anniversary of the UAE National Day on December 2, 2019 at the Hilton Park Hotel. The reception was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mr. Savvas Perdios, a number of representatives from the Cypriot Government and the diplomatic missions, as well as businessmen and friends of the Embassy.
The ceremony began with the National Anthems of two countries, then the UAE Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Sultan Ahmed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, and the Deputy Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mr. Savvas Perdios delivered speeches emphasizing the depth and strength of the relations between Cyprus and the UAE.
The ceremony also included the participation of two giant Emirati names, DP world and Emirates Airlines, which provided a raffle on two airlines tickets, for two lucky guests.
