On 4 November 2019, the UAE Ambassador to Cyprus, Mr. Sultan Ahmed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, supervised the implementation and completion of the last phase of the initiative to support a humanitarian project in the educational sector through assisting the Foundation and Shelter 'Hope for Children'.
The shelter hosts around 50 children, between the ages of 15-18, most of whom lack the basic essentials for proper education. Consequently, taking into consideration the urgent need to encourage the children and focus their energies at this crucial stage in their lives on learning, culture and self-development, the Embassy donated ten computer devices fully equipped with all the programs that the children need in their educational and academic journey.
As the Shelters' resources are limited, thus lacked the equipment, the initiative won great appreciation from both the children and the administration of the shelter.
