In support of the Year of Sustainability & upcoming COP28, UAE Consul General H.E. Sheikh Saoud Almualla led the Consulate team to participate in the Country Parks Plantation Enrichment Programme managed by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, in partnership with The Conservancy Association, to contribute to the planting of native species in Sai Kung woodlands, with the goal of benefiting local biodiversity, preventing soil erosion, and offsetting carbon dioxide. In addition, the planted seedlings will be monitored by researchers, contributing valuable data to local forest conservation and management efforts.
