In line with the National Vaccination Programme against the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) under which the vaccine is provided to the population of the UAE, in an effort to reduce the number of cases and contain the virus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation joined hands with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi to offer the vaccine to its employees. The vaccination drive took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, to ensure the health and safety of MoFAIC employees and their families.
On Thursday 14 January 2021, over 250 employees chose to vaccinate, in an effort to protect the community from the repercussions of the pandemic, as part of MoFAIC’s “Vaccination: protect yourself and your loved ones” campaign launched earlier in the month to raise awareness among staff.
HE Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stressed the importance that all employees, citizens and residents, support national efforts aimed at controlling the Covid-19 virus and take part in moving forward towards recovery and preserving the nation’s achievements.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the visionary leadership of the UAE insisted that human health is a priority, and that vaccination is one of the key elements to preserve and protect the health and safety of society.
