Ibirapuera Park

The most beloved park of São Paulo and also a symbol of the city. Opened in 1954, Parque do Ibirapuera was designed by Oscar Niemayer and Roberto Burle Marx. It houses several museums, a planetarium, lakes, courts and many green areas.

MASP (Museum of Art of São Paulo)

Considered the most important Museum of Art in Latin America and the Southern Hemisphere. There are about 8,000 works, mostly of Western art, from the 4th century BC to the present day.
 
Afro-Brazil Museum

One of the best in the city, the Afro-Brasil Museum presents the development of African culture in Brazil. Located in the Ibirapuera Park.

Brazilian House Museum

It presents a rich collection of Brazilian and European furniture and house utensils, most produced in the 18th century.

State Pinacoteca

The Pinacoteca houses a huge collection of Brazilian art that serves as a visual history of the country, its cultural evolution, as well as a beautiful collection of 19th century French sculpture. The museum has a café on the ground floor and is connected to Parque da Luz, a public park that includes outdoor sculptures and a European-style garden area.

Football Museum

The Football Museum is a trip through Brazil in the 20th century, where culture is unveiled through the sport most loved by the Brazilian people.

Ipiranga museum

It displays porcelain, personal objects, books and documents that tell the history of Brazil in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Immigration Museum

The Immigration Museum offers visitors the opportunity to know and reflect on the migratory process that occurred in the State of São Paulo.
 
Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo

It presents works by contemporary Brazilian authors as well as works by Picasso, Chagal, Matisse, Miro and others. Located in the Ibirapuera Park.

Butantan Institute

It is considered one of the largest biomedical research centers in the world. It has four museums: Biological; Historic; Microbiology and Emilío Ribas, on health history.

Concert Hall of São Paulo

Considered one of the best concert halls in the world, Sala São Paulo is home to the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra and hosts national and international shows throughout the year.

Municipal Theater

Built in 1911, the Municipal Theater hosts performances by famous Brazilian and international artists.

Antiques Trade Shows

The antiques fair at Praça Benedito Calixto, on Saturdays, and Feirinha do Masp, on Sundays, offer paintings, rare objects, clothes, handicrafts, furniture and decorative pieces.

Municipal market

Popularly known as Mercadão (Big Market), the Municipal Market is a famous tourist spot in the city, full of popular gastronomic attractions.

Gastronomy

A city made by immigrants, São Paulo offers options for all tastes. Paulistanos eagerly explore the gastronomic diversity of the city, but without a doubt, Steakhouses, Pizzerias, Bakeries and Pastries are the most popular destinations.
