About the Ambassador

His Excellency Ambassador Jassim Mohammed Al Qasimi received his Ph.D. in Public International Law and Economics from Hassan II University - Kingdom of Morocco in 2014, and holds a master’s degree in economic studies from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies of the League of Arab States in Cairo in 2003, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the League of Arab States. College of Economics and Management - United Arab Emirates University. He started his career with the Ministry of Economy during the period from 1987-1990 and then with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the degree of Attaché. He worked at the State Embassy in Cairo in October 1997-2001, as Economic Affairs Officer and Arab League official, and worked at the State Embassy in Singapore from August 2001 until September 2005, as Deputy Head of Mission and in charge of economic, political and consular affairs. And during the period from September 2005 until September 2009, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry. On September 1, 2009 until January 31, 2014, he was appointed Director of the Department of Economic Affairs with the title of Ambassador. On February 9, 2015, he began his work as the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, and on May 26, 2016, he began his work as a non-resident ambassador to Georgia.
