Australia and the UAE are working together to empower the next generation of global leaders through programs in government, education, entrepreneurship and more. There are more than 25 partnerships between universities, academic institutions, and governments in the two countries. There are officially Australian schools abroad in Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
There are three Australian Universities with campuses in the UAE:
1. University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD): Pioneering Western education in the UAE since its establishment in 1993, UOWD holds the distinction of being the first Western branch campus in the country.
2. Murdoch University International Study Centre Dubai: Initiated in 2008, this center by Murdoch University has become a vital educational hub, boasting over 500 current enrolments. Its presence reflects Australia's dedication to providing diverse educational opportunities in the UAE.
3. Curtin University Dubai: Curtin University Dubai began operating in 2018 and its campuses are located in Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
