The cultural relation between the UAE and Jordan is one of the most important pillars that has been marked by increasing and prosperity, and has become subject to interest of wise leaderships in both countries. Given the interest of the UAE leadership to the human, considering the human as the core part of the development process, the UAE leadership is keen to invest and enhance means to improve humans. Therefore, the UAE leadership sent educational missions around the world, especially Jordan. Mr. Issa Khalfan Al-Hreimal was sent in 1964 in a scholarship to study geography at the Factually of Arts in the University of Jordan. Jordan has been the best distention for Emirati students in all specializations. In this regard, and to enhance and organize cooperation in the educational field, the UAE, in 1985, inaugurated a cultural mission in Jordan, affiliated to the Ministry of Education.
This cultural mission aims to follow up with Emirati students’ affair and organize students’ matters academically and educationally, and assist with other related matters. The cultural mission role has not been limited to that, but it support many cultural, artistical, traditional and literary activities for Emirati students in Jordan in many events, whether in the universities they have studies in or other institutions. In addition, the cultural mission has participated in different national events that ensure and consolidate the deep relation between Jordan and the UAE.
In 1986, the first executive program of scientific and cultural program between Jordan and the UAE, under which the Jordanian Government allocated numbers of seats for Emirati students in the official universities. This program enhances mutual cooperation in the academic fields, scientific research, scholarship, and issued related to schools, certificates, school curricula and activities, and improve their procedures as well. Responding the development in the scientific research and in the line with the UAE vision to follow up latest developments in fields of scientific, technology and scientific research that support the progress and growth of the country and human, the cultural mission has become Education and Technology Science Mission in order to support the State and its institutions, and provide needed support to Emirati students during their studies. Shikh Dr. Amman Ben Naser Al-Mula was appointed as an educational and scientific technology attaché, resides in Cairo, not in Tunisia, Rabat and Amman. Acting on his behalf, His Excellency Mr. Hani Ben Hweiden, the political advisor in the Embassy of the UAE to Jordan.
