Diplomats praise UAE’s support for people of determination.

Various diplomats and officials have praised the UAE’s support for people of determination and the related efforts of the wise leadership to improve the services offered to them, as well as to develop and advance their abilities, achieve their social integration, and involve them in the country’s development.

They made their special statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, during the launch of Autism Awareness Week 2018, which was organised by the Emirates Autism Centre in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and will run until 25th April at the World Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Tolerance.

Wael Al Sayed Mohammed Gad, Ambassador of Egypt to the UAE, stated that the UAE, which leads in launching initiatives to advance its people, provides the appropriate support for people of determination and considers the views of the entire community, which was shown when its changed the term, "people with disabilities," to "people of determination."

Mohammed Amin Abdullah Al Kareb, Ambassador of Sudan to the UAE, said that the UAE has made considerable efforts to support and rehabilitate people of determination, which highlight the country’s advancement, its awareness of the needs of all its people, and its desire to improve their lives.

Dr. Khalid bin Said bin Salim al Jaradi, Ambassador of Oman to the UAE, stressed that the UAE’s care for people of determination is unparalleled and improving, and its positive outcomes have helped this key segment in the community, which must be cared for while noting that the quality of their products is proof of their skills and capabilities.

Yuriy Polurez, Ambassador of the Ukraine to the UAE, said that the UAE aims to participate in related international activities, such as the annual World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April while pointing out that he is monitoring the UAE’s accomplishments and initiatives that support people of determination, and he also desires to participate in them.

Helal Mohamed Al Hameli, Deputy Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the Chamber’s support for the 11th Autism Awareness Week, which aims to enable those with autism to integrate into the community, through helping them succeed.

In her statement, Amal Galal Sabry, Director of the Emirates Autism Centre, said, "In the UAE, the land of giving, spending and generosity, and to keep pace with the Year of Zayed initiative, comes the launch of the activities today to promote awareness about autism spectrum disorder, ASD, at the World Trade Centre Mall, to support the Emirates Autism Centre’s humanitarian efforts and improve social awareness about this segment of people of determination, who are in dire need of support."

She added the UAE’s prominent role in promoting social responsibility has helped the centre achieve success while highlighting the country’s pioneering support for people of determination, through implementing laws and legislation to ensure their full rights.

Sabry also thanked the supporters of the centre’s autism awareness campaign and noted that four goals were achieved in every campaign, including raising awareness about ASD and its symptoms and its level of occurrence, which is one out of every 68 births.
